Master of Psychology UNY Students Organizes Webinar on Marriage Preparation Focusing on Emotional Readiness and Communication

Master of Psychology Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) students will organize an educational webinar entitled “Preparing for Marriage: Fitrah, Communication, and Emotional Readiness.” The webinar will be conducted online via Zoom Meeting on Thursday, 29 May 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00 PM (WIB).

This webinar aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of marriage preparation from psychological and relational perspectives, particularly in relation to emotional readiness, interpersonal communication, and mutual understanding between partners. The program is designed to support individuals in developing healthy and balanced marital relationships.

The webinar will feature three speakers with expertise in psychology and education. Hadi Alhail, S.Pd will deliver the first session entitled “Understanding the Differences in Fitrah Between Men and Women,” which discusses fundamental psychological and emotional differences as a basis for mutual understanding in marriage.

The second session will be presented by Noviani Putri, S.Psi, who will explore “Balanced Love: Building Relationships Through Reason and Emotion,” emphasizing the importance of emotional regulation and cognitive awareness in maintaining healthy relationships.

The third session will be delivered by Nur Mulia, S.Psi, under the topic “Becoming Ready for Marriage: The Importance of Communication and Intimacy in Relationships,” highlighting effective communication and emotional closeness as key components of marital readiness.

Through this webinar, participants are expected to gain both theoretical insights and practical knowledge related to emotional preparedness, communication skills, and relational maturity as foundations for a healthy marriage.
