Master’s Program in Psychology Yudisium at UNY: 7 Graduates Ready to Contribute Professionally and Academically

The Master’s (S2) Program in Psychology, Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), successfully conducted its yudisium ceremony as the final stage of the academic journey for students who have fulfilled all academic requirements. The event took place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the 3rd Floor Hall of Moh. Amien Building, Faculty of Education (FIP) UNY.
This yudisium marks a significant milestone, officially recognizing the completion of graduate-level education. The ceremony was conducted in a solemn atmosphere, reflecting the rigorous academic achievements that require not only theoretical mastery but also advanced analytical skills, research competence, and scholarly contribution to the field of psychology.
In this period, a total of 7 students from the Master’s Program in Psychology were declared graduates and participated in the yudisium. They have successfully completed all academic requirements, including advanced coursework, academic seminars, research activities, and the completion of their thesis as a form of scholarly contribution to the development of psychological science.
In the remarks delivered during the event, faculty representatives expressed their appreciation for the graduates’ dedication, perseverance, and commitment in completing their studies amidst various academic and professional challenges. Master’s graduates are expected to become psychology professionals who demonstrate not only academic excellence but also strong analytical thinking, professional ethics, and the ability to contribute meaningfully in practice, research, and policy development. Furthermore, graduates are encouraged to take on strategic roles in various fields, including as practitioners, researchers, academics, and consultants who are capable of addressing complex psychological issues in society. The ability to integrate theory and practice remains a key strength that should continue to be developed by master’s graduates.
The yudisium also serves as a reflective moment on the academic journey undertaken, one that requires intellectual rigor, resilience, discipline, and a strong commitment to knowledge development. These experiences are expected to serve as a solid foundation for future professional and academic endeavors. All graduates of the Master’s Program in Psychology will proceed to the UNY Graduation Ceremony scheduled for June 2026. Thus, this yudisium serves as a gateway toward their official recognition as UNY alumni.
